About the visualiser
What it shows, and what it can't promise.
- What does the room visualiser show?
- A rendered sample room with a real paint from the catalogue on its walls and, if you pick one, another on the trim (skirting, window frame and sill). You can view it from the corner or facing the wall, in daylight or by lamplight in the evening.
- Will the paint look like this on my wall?
- Not exactly. The room is a 3D render, not a photograph, and every screen shows colour a little differently. The walls average out to the paint's published colour, with shadows and highlights from the room's light, but your own room, its light and the paint's finish will all shift how it reads. Treat it as a way to compare and shortlist, then buy a sample pot before committing.
- Which paint brands can I put on the walls?
- Every paint in the catalogue: Acres Hall, Alchemist, Benjamin Moore, Colourtrend, Crown, Curator, Dulux, Dulux Trade, Farrelly & Co, Farrow & Ball, Fleetwood, Johnstone's, Lick, Little Greene and Ronseal, all sold in Ireland. The visualiser only shows real, buyable paints, so what you see on the wall is always something you can go and buy.
- How is this different from a brand's own visualiser or visualizer app?
- A brand's own tool shows that brand's range. This one puts every brand Swatcher tracks in the same room under the same light, so a Colourtrend colour and its closest Dulux or Fleetwood match can go on the same wall one after the other, and the paint's page lists those matches for you. It compares brands; it does not replace a sample pot.
- Do I need to download an app?
- No. It runs in the browser on any recent phone, tablet or laptop, with nothing to install and no account needed. Save the link to come back to a room.
- Can I see a paint on my own wall instead of a sample room?
- Yes, on the camera page. Point your phone at your wall and it changes to the paint you chose, live, on your device, keeping the room's own light and shadows. Nothing is uploaded. The sample room is for comparing colours at wall scale; the camera is for your wall.
- How do I share a room?
- Copy the link. The address updates as you change the paints, view and light, so anyone who opens it sees exactly the room you set up.
